THREE WAY MIRROR
Create your own world and bring it with you. Three Way Mirror is a environmental portrait photography project at the intersection of the relationship between subject, photographer and viewer. In 2024 I began looking outward for people who presented their inner world in public spaces. These photographs are all taken on film and printed without any digital manipulation. In a world where AI and computers have changed what can pass as real, these photos represent a clear mirror image of the subject and inturn ourselves.
Process
The tools used to create these photographs and prints are inexpensive and available just about everywhere. The film used is called Kodak Ultramax 400 and is available at any Drugstore across the country. The camera is a Canon EOS-1N which came out in 1994 with a 40mm lens that approximates the viewing angle of the human eye.
